From May to September 2026, the workshop will be open every Thursday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 16:00.
Throughout the season, you are welcome to join our
Hands-on Wild Clay — Drop-in Workshops and
Wild Clay Weekend Courses, or simply drop by to explore.

Traveling through the Swedish landscape, you will find many places where clay occurs naturally. They were deposited during the last ice age, 10.000 years ago, when glaciers transported large amounts of minerals. Some consist of raw clay minerals mixed with stones, sands and organics. Others are pure clay minerals. I have been gathering and researching these local, raw clay minerals and their properties in ceramics.

Wild Clay
Weekend Course
Weekend: June 27–28
Weekend: July 11–12
Weekend: August 8–9
Participation fee: SEK 3,500
Day 1 - Processing Wild Clays
Wild clay must undergo a series of processes before it becomes workable. In this course, you will learn how to treat local, raw clay minerals and experiment with different clay mixtures.
Raw wild clays from Hälsingland will be available in the workshop and will form the starting point for our experiments. I will share my own recipes and guide you through every step of the process, from preparation to application. Together, we will also explore how these wild clays behave on porcelain clay bodies and how they can be used as glazes.
If you have collected your own wild clay, you are welcome to bring it to the course.

Day 2 - Making Ceramic Objects with Wild Clays
During this day, we will experiment with a range of techniques. The ceramic workshop is fully equipped with various machines and tools, allowing you to use plaster molds, work on the potter’s wheel, or hand-build your object.
At the end of the day, I will carefully fire your pieces in an electric kiln and ship them to your home address.
